I looked, and can't find his PhD thesis. It doesn't seem to be achieved anywhere, and all that I can find is a 4 page summary and a 12 page summary (that people claim is the entire thesis. I could find one person who claimed to have it, and did a summary of it on youtube, but the link is now broken).

This is what I really hate about academia. Finding research sucks, honestly most of these papers should be free, the authors rarely make money off their publications, but publishers do. Colleges force you to publisher to keep your job, then the college pays the publisher for access to their own professors papers. It's a giant scam.

There are so many publishers, so even if you are paying for licenses, you don't always have access to specific papers. Places like Sci-hub are incomplete or have stopped updating, same with Anna's Archive. Arxiv is okay, but only for new stuff, it's also incomplete and since all the papers on there are pre-published, they haven't passed a review yet and so are likely to contain some or a lot of errors.

@Elliptica I've been told most researchers have explicit permission from publishers to distribute individual copies of their papers. Supposedly if you ask the authors for a copy, they're quite likely to send one to you. Never tried it myself, though.

@RegalBeagle I have done that, and I usually get it, but it can take weeks to months for them to get back to you.
