@deprecated_ii Once one understands the purpose of government isn't to improve the lives of its citizens but rather to preserve its own power at the citizens' expense, one can truly appreciate 'government efficiency'.

They either don't understand they're fucking themselves over, or they think they can get away with it somehow, like they'll have some place to run away to safely. Or they're just incapable of actually managing power well anymore.
@deprecated_ii @RegalBeagle But as long as the world doesn't collapse under their specific tenure, that's fine. They're also wealthy and connected enough to ignore almost all of the consequences of their actions. Until they suddenly aren't.
