@berkesch Renewables cannot be connected to the grid if the grid is down. Wind and solar need to have frequency and timing synced for their inverters to actually put useful power on the grid. This is one of the major problems with renewables no one talks about. They do not have the inertia to handle rapid changes in electrical demand and they cannot be used to restart a downed grid. Technology is working to fix these issues, but it's not there yet.

@egirlyuumimain @cowanon The RF, CCP, and US all have satellite constellations capable of detecting nuclear warheads as soon as they're moved from shielded sites and containers into delivery systems. Nuclear warheads have very distinct radiation emissions and there's no way to shield them one they're launched on a missile or strapped to a plane(Boomer subs are shielded by water when submerged). If a nuke was launched, all 3 nations would know before it as soon as the silo doors opened.
