@TenaciousGoat It's all part of the plan: "You will own nothing and you will be happy."

@professortom That’s not how I see it. I see him prioritizing something that brings him genuine joy. The consequences is getting fired.

@professortom I disagree. The laws of economics do scale. If you’re on an island, you’re the only resident. If you don’t work, what happens? The actual problem is giving too much. Or expecting something for nothing. Both are bad, the key is balance.

@professortom It was a good idea in theory. Bad in practice. Minimum wage also doesn’t matter because it doesn’t outpace inflation. Not sure what the solution should be.

@TenaciousGoat If minimum wage was a real solution, we could make the minimum wage $1,000,000,000/hr and we’d all be billionaires.

Of course, people will say that I’m ridiculous for suggesting that.

But why is it that we have politicians demanding $50/hr minimum wage?

The whole point of minimum wage is to have a constant issue to politick on.

@professortom That I agree with. By politicizing minimum wage it creates the illusion of doing good on the people without addressing the root cause. The fact most members of congress outperformed performed the S&P 500 shows how much of a joke it is.
