Having a "Gap in your resumé" is a red flag because it tells the corporate overlords that you aren't just a brainless drone who will desperately work for them 24/7. You're showing them that you can save money and occasionally take time off, time that you DIDN'T EARN OR ASK PERMISSION FOR!!!!! Basically our entire economy revolves around pleasing neurotic control freaks (jews but also women and sociopaths).
