I'm about to rant.

In every post about resistance there is a couple people in the comments who say something like,

Well, there won't even be fair elections. There's nothing we can do. People will never change. Nothing can be done. Why even try?

Are you fucking Russian plants?! What is this even for? If we are looking at the possibility of not having free elections, shouldn't we be fighting harder? Listen, I know you're scared, we all are, but instead of shitting on people who are actually trying, just admit your fear, instead of spreading nihilism and convincing people not to even try. Preparing yourself for the worst possible outcome, does nothing to stop the worst possible outcome, it just hastens it.

If you feel completely overwhelmed by all the terrible, maybe it's time to take a break, stop doomscrolling, and think about the kind of world you want to live in. Stop being a thief of hope.

Started today off with a home invasion. Nigger broke in and started roaming through the house. I grabbed the nearest gun and gave chase. Problem: I had grabbed this gun instead of my .44 Magnum.
I'm going to put this gun in storage and keep the Magnum ready for easy access, and my shotgun as a backup.
I do not need the circus that would come from removing pavement apes with a Resident Evil gun in my corrupt nigger city where even the court clerks are on the take.

Edit: For additional context, I had thought that my brother had come home early from work, as he sometimes does due to issues at work like major equipment failures, or shutdowns for major maintenance, so I didn't know it was an intruder until my office door was forced open. Being awake for all of a few minutes doesn't normally let one snap into DEFCON 1. Now, had I my wits about me at the time, I would have thought to replace my grips after the fact, but hindsight has superhuman vision.

I have some tasks to do for others. Helping hands to carry water for a friend, but nothing that will require very much of me.
