Given that folks who give non-zero fucks about climate change are likely overrepresented among the guest of these huts, it’s especially sad how little the operators care about offering decent low carbon footprint food (i.e. no meat).
Locally sourced food is also rare. The hills are full of game, but I’ve never seen that on the menu.
Most ironically, one hut had a coffee machine using powdered milk while hundreds of cows were grazing literally at the doorstep.
