What she's talking about is "soft power", or influence. Men don't often deal in influence, we deal in hard power, or force.

Eh, it’s raising it if anything. There’s a variation of Maslov’s hierarchy of needs in effect where even if you only use it for low order things like plapping, that frees your time and effort for high level things.

I actually feel some level of contentment, which hasn’t happened in years - mostly because the biobots dragged me down so much that even when free of them I still can’t relax behind enemy lines.
