I ACTUALLY LEARNED THIS IN HIGH SCHOOL IN THE EARLY 1970S... ONCE THE "US DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION" WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1979, THIS KIND OF KNOWLEDGE, ALONG WITH CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS IN THE USE OF LOGIC, WAS REMOVED FROM THE SCHOOL SYSTEM.
