Uncle Ted said something similar in his manifesto. Despite being in the "freest of countries" today we have considerably less freedoms than your average serf from the middle ages. Today even if you own your home out right you still have to pay taxes on it or it gets taken away from you. Want to build a lake to store water and raise fish? Nope there are laws against that. Sure the serf couldn't besmirch the king or local lord but mind your p's and q's and they didn't mess with you back then. We're all slaves to the system most of us just don't know it. Try to get out and you'll get Waco'd.

It wasn't that long ago that having community and family was the norm. Like, 80 years ago
every man had a wife and kids along with a healthy local society centered around religion.
