Americans say that the USA say must be a police state or you will have anarchy with warlords, but why was the US a free country without anarchy in 1889 and 1979?

@freepatriot There's been a usurping fed gov since the civil war when states rights were basically eliminated and the Republic was for all intents and purposes destroyed. Later FDR and Wilson finished the job on the constitutional side and the 19th amendment ensured the resulting democracy would fall to totalitarianism with time...
