For clarity, Stalin drank very little, preferring mostly Georgian wines—Kindzmarauili and Kvanchkara—and would often mix wines (sometimes red and white) to his own taste. To avoid/control drunkenness, later in his life he would mix mineral (sparkling) water with wine.
