@nixCraft Arch taught me a lot about Linux, and now I'm using that knowledge to get back on Mint. Also better driver support on Debian distros....
@Justicar The junior IT workers haven't been taught how to run a business, and sell their services.
It's also tougher to reach an employer if you don't understand his needs. You can go for a middle man that'll prospect your profile to employers for a fee.
i do not believe programmers, or IT people in general, are having problems with finding work. i think they are just unable to present and sell themselves properly. i have put multiple ads out there and not a single person abided by the conditions, no matter how small/easy. if i would be looking for work nowadays, i bet i could land €100k job in few weeks. also, not even realizing i am already doing it, i will be hiring people that "I" approach for work. especially those not actively looking job.
