Holy shit there are so many good games (non-AAA) and even older games with infinite mods that can basically revamp and extend them by hundred of hours.
The best thing is mods are generally free and non-AAA cost a lot less than 70 bucks.
@Zeb @Shadowman311 I know theres a ton of good games made by smaller teams. It just really sucks to think how good a game could be with a massive budget and a massive team. The closest we will ever get to something like that is RDR2, its all downhill for AAA studios

It's quite disappointing that the answer is very simple: AAA studios got DEI (like the gov psy-op sweet baby inc) forced upon them.
Look at the picture of any big gaming studio cast: it's at least 80% whamyn and the other 20% are soy faggots. Real programmers have left or were fired a long time ago.
