The God of the Bible is as a vengeful, punitive deity who orders the destruction of entire nations, including children & the elderly. This is not a loving, compassionate God, but rather a god who is more akin to the devil. The Bible’s portrayal of God is often at odds with the values of love, compassion, and empathy that are central to true Christianity.

@zedheds Very interesting post, a wise trip back in time to the early 1800s. Those words are almost one by one as the initial thesis of Friedrich Hegel, the philosopher.
