I thought of an alternative currency that many would accept. Bills made from paper but with strips of silver all in lamination. It's the silver that gives the bill value. This would work great for small denominations but if you wanted larger gold could be used instead. Given modern tech a spectral analysis could be used to confirm legitimacy so counterfits wouldn't be an issue. Simply containing a precious metal would be enough in most people's eyes and they'd be easy to produce.

It's a neat idea but jews will counterfeit immediately by writing the wrong value on it.
Why not use the time tested method of a metal coin?
Metal coins are heavy and I have a solution, the number of silver strips in the bill is the denomination. Hard if not impossible to counterfit that.

That's what europeans thought too, impossible to counterfeit until the jews went coin clipping and later with the creation of fractional banking to dupe the gold standard.
It's a good security measure but money already is very hard to counterfeit, ideally you want to completely eliminate fiat money.
