If the general public decides to simply do it, there's nothing anyone can realistically do. A lot of people will have a new house.
Cops don't even do anything about squatters as it is 😏 you can move in somewhere and if the person you're paying rent to doesn't have the extra money to drag you through an eviction process with the courts, they're fucked.
