I just finished Expedition 33. My god, it's been a long time since I've played such a depressing game (ahhhh the French). The game is great, my only complaint is the limited number of endings. The gameplay, battle system, and storyline are amazing and I will be stunned if it does not win GOTY. I would suggest you try it when you have some time to kill.

the endings make sense. There were no other ways the story could end, unless they extended the outside world war that they're waging.
The game has a giant post-game too! Worth playing.
@Zeb Yeah, they definitely make sense. Just wish there was a happy "3rd option" but it ends the way it has to be. Which ending did you take? I picked Verso's.

I picked Verso's. It's the natural ending to the story.
The other is to live in the illusion, it would make everyone suffer and repeat the cycle of pain forever.
PS: There was no way to have a happy ending realistically without crazy necromancy. 💀
