It was all one big long conflict in stages, all created to decimate europeans.
The french revolution (caused by economic crisis), napoleonic wars (to try to fix france post-revolution), WW1 to destroy the germans and the Austro-hungarian empire, which ended up crushing the ottomans and Russia badly too.
WW2 was just the continuation of WW1 when the germans tried to fight back against the jews who enslaved and humiliated them.

I agree that WW1 was what truly crushed the west.
