Schizo post.
So God creates man in his own image (Gen 1:27). This can mean representatives of his authority over earth. Then Gen 2:7 describes creation of Adam in the "Garden" of Eden. The word for garden here can also be seen as a temple. Basically Adam was a priest. I can see a situation where man (homo sapien) is created as a vessel, but through being a decedent of Adam you can commune with God (have a soul).
Gen 6:1 describes Nephalim as the result of an unholy alliance between the Watchers (fallen angels), and the "daughters of humans". Given the premise of Adam imbuing people with a spirit of God. I see this situation in Gen 6 as the opposite. Fallen angels trying to imbue humans with their own spirit. The result of this is that God had to send a flood and kill them all.
Problem is some survived. How? I don't know. But all through Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, etc. The Hebrews go on a string of genocidal campaigns to eliminate the Nephilim, Rephaim, Anakim, etc.
That gives us a situation where there are humans without souls (or any connection with god), humans with the spirit of God, and humans with the spirit of something else, something corrupted.
Maybe the lizard people are true. they're just not lizards. They're demons. And that's why they hate us.
