What are 100 Austrians doing in Oman?!

3 questions:
- Are they really Austrians or simply Omani with Austrian passports?
- If yes, are they Austrian spies/special forces working for NATO?
- If not military, then they are mostly specialized workers from finance, IT or commodities traders. There are quite a few around the gulf.
