Women commit the vast majority of domestic violence:

~50% of domestic violence is reciprocal, perpetrated by both partners.

Of the ~50% that is nonreciprocal, women are perpetrators in ~70% (!) of cases.

"Women’s greater perpetration of violence was reported by both women and by men."

Moreover, "relationships with reciprocal violence resulted in more frequent violence (by women only) and a greater likelihood of injury caused by both male and female perpetrators."

So, even in mutually-abusive relationships, women are still more violent than men!

To be fair, the very few times men hit women at home, they don't repeat that often because if men mean it, she goes to the hospital and soon to the grave. Normally she learns pretty quick not to poke the bear.
