I wanna move from NixOS because doing some simple stuff is complex or annoying.
So, options:
- Fedora
- Arch
- OpenSUSE
The problem is that not-arch distros will require me to use AI to package what I need for myself. The special problem that openSUSE has is that it doesn't play well with codecs, the Packman stuff isn't like RPMFusion in the sense that it's kind of tightly following its upstream distro, and thus causes issues, and the OpenSUSE people seem to be hostile to it (thus advocating for flatpak, which I don't like and don't wanna use)
The problem with Arch is that I seem to have OCD when it comes to its display of Optional Dependencies. That's pretty much my only issue with it. It makes me want to install most optional dependencies because I don't know if they'll be needed and thus if I don't have them, something will break randomly.
