The issue for government is the computers and the internet behave more like Pandora's box and less like a control tool that can only be used by a chosen elite.
You cannot put things back into the box after you've opened it unless you destroy the world..and even then, it's not guaranteed that a hard reset would erase this knowledge/technology.
A man who is a childless virgin, talking to other men about women, is the same as a HR karen talking about the math of astrophysics.
