@Tfmonkey I’m wondering why Mental Health Month and Mother’s Day are in May. Nothing to see here…move along.

@mutageno been married to an Asian woman for years. I can tell you the level of crazy she, her sister, and her mother have is of the hook. What they are good at is hiding the crazy…for awhile.

Before COVID BS I would have laughed at the notion. Now? Not so much.

@Tfmonkey also it’s a form of narcissism to think one can control events/others.

@Tfmonkey stoicism is a mature person’s philosophy, in my opinion. It makes so much intuitive sense to me that it’s hard to believe that others don’t seem to get it. It really is the path way to peace, happiness, and freedom. For some its just too hard to let go.

@Tfmonkey it’s hard to say. I was “gifted” back in school (in the good way) but I can still plow through a bag of Reese’s when stressed or angry. I think impulse control is really needed. Also people have weaknesses/habits that can take over. It really is not a question of IQ, in my opinion. It’s an internal dialogue and rationalizing bad behavior. My $0.02.
