A nuclear war is a horrible thing. Many people would die, the environment would be ruined, countries would collapse, the financial system would implode, technology and industry would be sent back nearly a century. Just terrible... but there is an upside.

When you are walking the wastelands, scrounging for water, fighting off mutants, having shootouts with bandits, avoiding radiated rainfall, as you are struggling every moment of every day just to survive suddenly none of these people have worth.

In that hypothetical hellscape no one will care about fatphobia, no one will respect pronouns, no one will care about womens liberation, no one will care about racism. All the complaints and foot stomping done by 20 year old suburbanite kids and their handlers will never matter any more.

I'm not saying I want a nuclear war to happen. I'm not saying I want Putin to push that button. I'm just saying it would be funny if he did.
