People might have noticed that Eggs are really expensive right now while the price of chicken hasn't gone up that much. Well thats because many of the farmers had to kill their egg hens because the price of feed and electicity costs for keeping them warm in the winter has gone way up in addition to the bird flue, so expect the price of chicken to go way up next year as well as the price of eggs.

That makes so much more sense than just the avian flu, there are regions that were only lightly hit by avian flu. For example you could keep an eye out for the price development in Mexico to isolate the flu from other factors.
