Also the longer the idea of disinflation stands all parties are hesitant to be the first to raise prices overtly.
There is a lesser but still none the less real delay in retail and producer prices no inflation model accounts for. Like multiple springs being squeezed by sheer expectations it can only compress so much on the hopes of peak inflation and return to normalcy.
How many people still hold out hope for China reopening as yet another flu wave hits?
