@cjd The driver was a panicky dumbass to drive off, but how life threatening could it have been if he was still able to draw his pistol and shoot the guy?
It's hard to say, but generally speaking I think the ruling makes sense - you can't shoot someone because you "fear for your life" if you put your own life at risk to begin with.
Scenario was where a cop grabbed onto the car of someone who was trying to flee from being pulled over and then shot him because he was driving with them holding onto his car.
