That Depends on the VPN you use. There are many out there, some more reputable than others.
But don't fuck it up for others. If you're going to do illegal stuff on it like DoD attacks and other shit like that, don't use VPNs. It'll just get the IPs banned (and I wouldn't be surprised in the next admin get you arrested).

Don't knock free. Many paid legitimate VPNs have free versions of their service, including the VPN Windscribe. They've been around for as long as I can remember.
