Which type of American? I have lots of passions. Loving Freedom is definitely one of them. No patriotic American hates Freedom. But I understand you refer to political corruption. It’s certainly better than 97% of the world.

If you are a law-abiding and responsible person who doesn't have any debt, you might totally lose respect for the government and laws if you get fined $30,000 for having an illegal flagpole.
