Placing Americans under house arrest and closing businesses to reduce housing prices is like cutting off your feet to lose weight.

Maybe better ways to decrease housing costs are to reduce the debt that leads to inflation and to get rid of the regulations that prevent the free market from building cheap homes.

The very same Americans who scream that regulations make countries rich are surprised to hear that the Soviet Union was poor.
