And the legit "Nazis," whatever that term means to a given individual, who were executed, were few in number by comparison. Around 12 million Germans were killed AFTER the war, most of them civilians. They were herded into open air concentration camps that were nothing more than large, empty fields surrounded by barbed wire. There was no shelter, no facilities, only holes in the ground to defecate in. When it rained, they got rained on. When it was also 38° they died of exposure, and of those hardy enough to survive that, most died of malnutrition or the diseases that spread through the camps like wildfire.
