A person does not need the media to notice how the cost of living has caused a crisis for many Americans. I hear it from people everyday. Rents are extremely high. I am watching seniors having to find places to live because they are being priced out of their apartments.
Many have nowhere to go. Groceries and utilities, and gasoline, are breaking people.

Democracy extends the sphere of individual freedom, socialism restricts it. Democracy attaches all possible value to each man; socialism makes each man a mere agent, a mere number.
Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word: equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude.
