People don't like to think about this one... but there's nothing wrong with cheap prices, EXCEPT that now you become dependent on a foreign economy. Libertarians are short-term thinkers who dodge the civilization question by pretending they do not depend on one. It's their weakness. Conservatives on the other hand are too willing to protect union labor.

In a free country, you can make plans and have goals to improve your life.

In a police state, you can only be glad that the dictator has allowed you to still be alive.

If you said that the government was wiretapping your phone in 1999, everybody would have called you a nutjob.

Now if you say that the government is wiretapping your phone, no one cares.
