Seriously thinking of going off the grid soon.

I just read the stunning book "Hiking Essentials Made Simple" by George Larrick
and I realized freedom
is the breath of the soul, the light in darkness, and the seed of possibility.

I think the goal of separating crap/important is missing in most people.

They would rather have the crap build up their social standing and thus their egos, buuttt... they feel the coldness of the void more intensely that way.

This is the truth!

I find that people with a weak ego, have a need to fill it with an ism, ideology or a religion.

Then, scary things tend to happen quickly if that happens in big numbers.

Herds converge on the lowest common denominator.

This is almost always scapegoating and theft.

That is a good start. For me, it also helps to categorize the world into what I can change, and what I cannot change, and then stop worrying about what I cannot change.

I find that this method cuts away a lot of crap, and allows me to focus on what is truly important.
