If you need a tyrant to have a society then why did the Wild West work just fine in 1880?
If tyranny is so wonderful then why were King Louis XVI, Mussolini, and Ceausescu executed?
If a police state is a paradise then why do North Koreans try to escape North Korea?
If tyranny is fantastic then why did Americans fight for freedom during the American Revolution?
Do bootlickers feel like traitors?
@amerika @freepatriot I'd prefer a 5th Reich in America before we descend into a communist hellscape where we eat our children and zoo animals, but ideally we'd reform the republic instead.
Everything falls on the Bell Curve, so yes to it being fixed and being genetic.
Now, the wrinkle is that the background level can be turned up, and that was what happened in Europe.
Some can learn somewhat, but mostly, people are what they are. Darwin, nature, and the God/gods are our masters.
@monarchist @freepatriot The problem with this is the exception. You and I are also people, yet we take pleasure in hard won and hard fought "battles".
If we can do so, so can others. But can people who do not, learn? Or do we return to your idea about genetics and biology? Are the percentages fixed?
@freepatriot Americans have not tasted communism and tyranny since the country's formation and the American Civil War. Hopefully the embers of the love of freedom can be rekindled. Time will tell.
