I think middle mgmt is where you see the worst rent seekers. They produce nothing, they know it at some level, yet, they are paid too much. This creates the perfect breeding ground for soulless parasites who can shift their opinion and attitude at a seconds notice, to please the next level of mgmt.
In order to reach the top, you have to play this game for decades and in the process, you will have destroyed your soul and integrity.

There's another story of a man who was sentenced to life in prison, wrongfully. After 10 years, he managed to prove his innocence himself, since his lawyers gave up.
I think he at least got 1 MUSD in damages.
But such is life in the state. The state has the power and coudln't care less about its subjects.

Difficult for me to judge how much is Elon and how much is his employees, but yes, he does seem to have technical intuition, since if he calls the shots, he's the one who selects the long term goals and the employees, and he has been doing a good job there!
I also like his free speech pathos! But I do not know if this is for show, for convenience or something he actually believes.

The US has been mostly socialist since the 1960s.
The WW2 compact involved accepting socialism and communism as extensions of democracy.
Subsequent events proved some key differences...
