I was always too honest to get a management job when I worked for global IT corporations.
I did get a mgmt job as a consultant, but since I worked remotely, while the rest of the mgmt team worked on site, it was in the end too difficult to play the political game that way, so the company went woke, and I moved on. I did however, manage to save the company from trying to enforce veganism on its employees and customers! That's something I remember with

Mixed seems to fit the bill, although it is an imprecise term.
But the market is a tool, and smart communists and socialists learned from the famines of russia and china and use just enough of the tool to avoid that.
But with all things related to social science, the problem is always... where do we draw the line?
For me, personally, what we have today is most definitely _not_ a capitalist system. For lack of a better term, I can agree to mixed.

I think middle mgmt is where you see the worst rent seekers. They produce nothing, they know it at some level, yet, they are paid too much. This creates the perfect breeding ground for soulless parasites who can shift their opinion and attitude at a seconds notice, to please the next level of mgmt.
In order to reach the top, you have to play this game for decades and in the process, you will have destroyed your soul and integrity.
@monarchist @korsier @freepatriot Very much so! He was thrown into prison for 30 days without knowing what was happening.
And this is sweden!
There's another story of a man who was sentenced to life in prison, wrongfully. After 10 years, he managed to prove his innocence himself, since his lawyers gave up.
I think he at least got 1 MUSD in damages.
But such is life in the state. The state has the power and coudln't care less about its subjects.
@monarchist @Example @korsier @freepatriot pride! 😀
@monarchist @Example @korsier @freepatriot Maybe. Difficult for me to judge how much is Elon and how much is his employees, but yes, he does seem to have technical intuition, since if he calls the shots, he's the one who selects the long term goals and the employees, and he has been doing a good job there!
I also like his free speech pathos! But I do not know if this is for show, for convenience or something he actually believes.
The boxcars won't even be needed because Americans are so enslaved now that Americans will drive themselves to the concentration camps.

The US has been mostly socialist since the 1960s.
The WW2 compact involved accepting socialism and communism as extensions of democracy.
Subsequent events proved some key differences...
Useful question with an eternal answer: you select your best people by their works in reality, and get them together with others, then make sure intelligent women are available, so you can breed a caste of those born with leadership skills including nobility and gumption.
