@monarchist @freepatriot But! The trick is to realize that being greatful does not mean that you cannot be ambitious. You can hold those two positions at the same time.
Many authoritarians fear this. They want the greatful sheep, but not the ambitious.
@bigmattoidchimpin @freepatriot Indeed; Stalin being jewish is the simplest, most natural explanation for these data.
@Sophia_Ru @freepatriot Walks like a duck 😁
@bigmattoidchimpin @freepatriot I’m not in any position to prove much of anything about anyone; I simply don’t find mainstream scholarly denials of Stalin’s potentially jewish ancestry particularly compelling - which I do not believe is the case with Hitler. Stalin’s surname in Georgian is spelled “Dzhugashvili”, which Georgians have told me isn’t an absolute slam-dunk but nevertheless sounds to them a lot like “child of a jew”. I’ve also been told the mother of his firstborn child is a jewess, and that this is often obfuscated in most investigations. What’s most compelling to me is Stalin’s utterly cynical worldliness - which is quite a contrast from ethnic Georgians, in my experience with them; and how well this explains his attitude towards Georgians in general. So I’m more-or-less convinced, but I recognize it’s not an exceptionally strong case, objectively - so I don’t blame people for their doubt.
@Sophia_Ru @freepatriot Precisely; while I’m well aware he doesn’t really “have to be” a jew, in my many years of internet-ing, I’ve come to regard “Every Single Time” as more than just a meme. His over-the-top cruelty against ethnic Georgians needs a valid explanation - and this is it.
@freepatriot There’s some debate still surrounding Josef Stalin’s ancestry - ie whether or not there was jewish blood in it. The usual rebuttal at least mentions his rather extreme anti-semitism after having consolidated his limitless power of State. I don’t see this as proof of anything, however, beyond his own reasoned ambition and basic treachery. The jews are not a loyal people.
