Yes! The only other option is solipsism, which is nuts, so I avoid that one.
@freepatriot AA only works like 1% of the time
COVID and COVID vaccinations, ring a bell? Who pushed the vaccinations? Have you learned nothing? When one fails to learn from history, one is doomed to repeat it.
@monarchist @freepatriot Thank you!
Death metal band? What could I possibly contribute to a death metal band? =)
As for Nietzsche, I think the beauty is to focus on your on life, and rather disregard the rest, unless it comes into conflict with how you want to live your life and express yourself.
That avoids beautifully the utilitarian fallacy of using people as happiness units and believing that ethics and happiness can be calculated across individuals.
@monarchist @freepatriot So you don't see culture as "lessons learned" on the systems/society level?

However!
This I suspect could be solved through definition of the words to encompass both views.
@monarchist @freepatriot Maybe you are a compatibilist? And yes, this is a "technical" philosophical question, since if I know where you stand on this, it is easier for me to understand your reasoning around free will, traits, genetics etc.
