Feeling optimistic is difficult when the headlines every day say things like "Cash is Banned" or "Stoves Now Illegal" and the newspapers never have stories named "Patriot Act Repealed" or "License Plate Scanners Removed".

There will be very hard choices to make. You know that the concentration camps are coming soon, but who will be sent there first? Illegal immigrants? Nazis? Commies?

You know that you live in Hell when you are required to carry around a mobile phone that is being wiretapped by the state to buy food and Americans say everything is wonderful.

If you need a tyrant to have a society then why did the Wild West work just fine in 1880?

If tyranny is so wonderful then why were King Louis XVI, Mussolini, and Ceausescu executed?

If a police state is a paradise then why do North Koreans try to escape North Korea?
