@freepatriot i would argue the internet has actually made dissent harder, nowadays you can pacify the masses with vicarious pretend revolutions, isolated and disconnected, the spread of ideas are there but it's all wet farts instead of actual explosions of collective rage, where before they would be forced to go out on the streets, now they can stay at home satisfied with what they have.

@freepatriot We have let a lot of people with zero self-regulation demand that the rest of us are regulated instead, and people who love having power over others have gleefully risen to the challenge.
Both of these types of people will not stop when one of their goals is achieved, but will use it to justify more of the same.
