Reading Micheal Malice’s fantastic book “The White Pill”. Revelatory not so much in his conclusions, but in the extensive detail of the insanity and abuses of Soviet Russia from Lenin to Stalin.
His take away is impossible for even unfree people to comprehend how bad existence can be in a severe totalitarian state.
My summation it is a place where insanity has the final and only word.

People once thought that more Americans would become Libertarians when the US became a police state, but now the opposite has happened.
Instead of embracing freedom, Americans love tyranny more.
Since the government has destroyed the economy, Americans accept welfare and think that the state is their protector.
