The world used to be divided up in small societies like Navajo tribes or the Amish.

Later the European Union was started and was sold as a
world with free trade, no borders, and a single currency.

The problem is that the world now has a global government. The
diversity among homosexuals, Christians, Buddhists, and Muslims
then gets crushed and the world becomes like North Korea where you can't escape.

Americans think that they all crippled victims.

Americans buy cheap imports and demand regulations and then Americans scream corporations offshored jobs.

Nobody owes you anything.

Work hard, learn a skill, start a business, or move if you want more money.

Globalism also means that Pizza Hut and Walmart will be everywhere.

Maybe living in a free country leads people to be trusting and friendly and living in a police state causes people to be suspicious and rude.

Americans used to be surprised Russians from the Soviet Union were unfriendly.

Now that the USA is also a police state, you might understand why.

Globalism might be good because there might be a McDonald's everywhere, but the spread of fast food restaurants also leads to the spread of tyrannical minimum wages, surveillance cameras, and seatbelts.

Maybe China figured that if Britain could stamp out freedom in the UK, they were free to do so in Hong Kong.

China is no more repressive than much of Europe and the US.
