There is always an exit. I tell my wife, one of my desired ends is to die surrounded by a ring of hot brass, fighting the good fight.
Maybe a few people will move to some remote area and form off the grid, self-sufficient communities, and maybe the overlords/rulers will ignore them for a while, but eventually they’ll come for them, too.
Sorry to be so pessimistic, but I’ve read a lot of history and have been studying current events for decades now, and I just don’t see any way out of the virtual prison the oligarchs have been slowly building for many years.
I wish I could be optimistic and believe that this irate minority could overcome the forces of evil, but it’s a very different world now than the one Samuel Adams lived in.
The people in power back then didn’t have the methods of control and surveillance that the “elite” overlords have now.

I took a Cinema Appreciation class in college and it was the best class I ever took, worth going to college for. We would talk about camera angles and lighting and all that. It was fun. I used that kind of design for my work later on in landscaping.

We lost most of our freedoms over 100 years ago but just didn’t realize it, and then we lost the rest after 2001 with the Patriot Act and many other nefarious unconstitutional laws.
The Covid scam proved that, and now the illegal, unconstitutional war with Iran has totally confirmed it.
I can go quite a while in a grid-down situation, and cover for family and some neighbors.
