When the USA was a free country, tyranny was limited because the US could take the moral high ground and stand up for freedom.
Now there is no limit to tyranny.
The virus was just a test run.
There is no limit to tyranny now because no one will call out abuses and there is no place to escape to.
You can have freedom and morality at the same time.
Once due process is gutted for one group, no one’s rights are truly safe.
Imagine this scenario: Miller orders a suspension of habeas corpus, and there are cases brought against the USA by lawyers in lower federal courts, and the FBI arrests the lawyers and the judge for whatever charges against the USA they can imagine. The next lawyer also gets arrested with that judge. How long before there's no legal challenge?
Like I've said before, each day another step or two toward fascism. How god damned dumb or deep in denial do you have to be not to see it?
There is no bottom, no depth too deep, for these wanton criminals to stoop to. Nor, I think, is anybody seriously going to stop them. Bye-bye, America.
