It's common for Zen priests to take wives and drink alcohol, because everything is empty after all. Why not? Drinking and not drinking is the same thing from the awakened perspective. Identity and non-identity are also the same thing, they depend on each other for their definition.

Zen Dharma (and to some extent all Mahayana) is great for exposing your vanity and forcing you to transcend it, but it's useless for establishing moral norms.
