More freedoms in China than the US. I lived in Beijing for 9 months about a decade ago.

Could literally do just about anything you wanted so long as you were respectful. No
one called the cops.

Can eat and drink well at any hour.

Come back to the USA and the nannies are outta control.

Americans say you have freedom if you can get arrested for enjoying your freedom.

Americans shrug if prostitution is illegal, but Americans lose their minds if prostitutes are ugly.

If you said that the government was wiretapping your phone in 1999, everybody would have called you a nutjob.

Now if you say that the government is wiretapping your phone, no one cares.

How can Americans sleep at night now or look in a mirror without feeling disgusted and ashamed?

Easy, God holds the authorities accountable for that, not me
