I'm a simple man, I want to fish, hunt, cut trees, build a house, grow food, and drink my own whiskey.
For all of that I'd need a fishing license, a fishing permit for a specific body of water, a hunting license, a gun license, my own state-appointed hunting grounds (I don't live in the US and yes, that is real), probably pay CO2 tax on and have to consult some NGO on which tree to cut, comply with 20,000 building regulations, comply with even more farming regulations, buy an extra plot of land to not do anything with, again for CO2 reasons to level out the evil farming or whatever, and finally have a distilling license and have some government lackey come inspect my still, "allowing" me to use it once a year to make a pre-defined amount of whiskey.
And people ask me why I'm having trouble finding a new hobby.
